City Cats is a group formed of old friends who consistently attend the Montreal Jazz Festival. The group is made up of Frank and Sue, Marsh, Mike, another Sue and Ingrid. Initially, sitting around at our favorite Blues Stage, Frank would make a drawing of the show that we were watching and rate it. This then morphed into producing a daily review of the previous days shows with photos and a recommendation of upcoming shows which was distributed to our friends on a daily basis. Then the covid pandemic hit. Unimaginable, the Jazz Fest was cancelled. We were all holed up in our separate living quarters, unable to visit or have contact with each other. Undeterred the City Cats decided to put on their own Montreal Fantasy Fest. During this time, the summer of 2020, each night for a period of 11 days shows would be released. Thus giving us some enjoyment on those terrible lonely nights.
